Lisa Kathleen Douthitt passed with grace on July 30th 2017 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born Lisa Kathleen Shaughnessy on October 14th 1962 in Clarkston, WA.

She resided in Yakima, WA since 1970 where she spent her life working for Sears and raising her family.

She met her first husband Robert Lee Douthitt while attending Eisenhower High School and they were married September 12th 1981. In 1984, she had her only child, Brandy Buckler. After her divorce with Robert, she met her love and partner in life, Jay LaFontaine in 1989. Never married, they spent the last 28 years loving and caring for one another.

She had a great sense of humor and loved family get-togethers. Her favorite was her annual 4th of July BBQ. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Her favorite places were Vegas and Florida. Though nothing brought her more joy than raising her daughter and helping raise her grandkids, Halexis and Christian Buckler.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Shaughnessy, mother Darlene "Dolly" Garber (Uglem) and grandparents Evelyn and Leroy Moldenhauer.

She is survived by partner in life Jay LaFontaine, daughter Brandy Douthitt, grandchildren Halexis and Christian and sisters Shelley Campbell, Cheryl Tucker and Linda Shaughnessy.

Lisa will be greatly missed, per her request we will not have a service. A special thanks to North Star for the great care that they gave Lisa over the past 2 years.
