Jacquelynn Ruth Dumas (Ellifritz), 73 went to be with our Lord on September 9th 2016, with her family at her side, after battling a long term illness.

Born to John and Ruth Ellifritz on January 4th 1943, in Bend, Oregon. She spent most of her young life on the Oregon Coast, before joining the US Army and moving to Germany. When she returned to the States she settled in Wenatchee, WA. There, she met the love of her life and future husband, Steve Dumas. In 1968 they began their 49 year long journey of fun and adventures, raising four children: Tami, Tim, Gabi, and Dani in Selah and West Valley.

Jacque joined the Washington State Department of Transportation for a fun, 28 year ride on the road. She retired, better and wiser, to spend her days running the 18 acre Black Angus farm in West Valley with her husband. Both Steve and Jacque retired to roam Washington, Montana, and the Oregon Coast together in 2008.

She was preceded in leaving us by her parents, John and Ruth Ellifritz. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Dumas, her children: Tami (George) Worby, Tim Dumas, Danielle (Allen) Christopherson, and Gabrielle Shockey (Krey), her sister Jeri Dumas and brother Larry (Terry) Ellifritz, her grandchildren: Karie Worby, Mandy Worby, Stephen (Camila) Shockey, Ariel Shockey, Bryce Shockey, Micinzie (Kaleb) Johnson, Cody Christopherson, Noah Anderson and Samantha, her great grandchildren: Hailey Jo, Kylee, Lexi, Mikayla, Tatum, Brooklynn, Addison, Brylee, Paisley, and Summerlynn, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

I'll be waiting for the same trip you're on, wait for me on the beach. Love, Steve and Lucy (her beloved service dog).

A graveside inurnment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at West Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Yakima Humane Society. To share a memory of Jacquelynn visit www.lepfuneralhome.com.
