Albert and his family moved to Yakima in 1929 and when he was 7 the family moved to the "farm" where he lived until he was 94 years of age. Albert was never married however he and his brother Lawrence raised their nephew Dennis Ainsworth. Albert attended St. Paul Catholic Grade School and Selah High School. In 1942 Albert joined the Army attaining his US Citizenship, during the war he was primarily stationed in Iceland. After serving in the Army he worked on the farm with his family producing all varieties of fruit and vegetables selling to customers in the local area including grocery stores. Primarily Albert and his brother owned a wood fuel business. They would spend much of their time at White Pass and the Rimrock lake area foresting the wood for sale. Albert loved being outdoors, hiking back country trails, camping, fishing, gardening, gold panning and hunting for mushrooms and huckleberries. He loved to write love songs and would play the tune to his songs on his harmonica as individuals were reading his stories.
